Employment Law Training ProgrammeCourse Aims
The programme will introduce those who have no previous employment law experience to their obligations in the core aspects of employment legislation.Course Objectives
- Participants will be equipped with the information to ensure;
- They understand the main areas of employment law
- They are equipped with the relevant information necessary in order to prepare appropriate contracts of employment for their organisation, including permanent, fixed- term, specified- purpose contracts, as and when required contracts
- That their organisation is compliant with equality legislation including at the recruitment and selection stage, the discipline and dismissal stage and all stages in between
- They have the ability deal with queries and questions in the areas of protective leave and working time
- They have the ability to deal with an investigation into a grievance, a disciplinary issue or a bullying and harassment issue
- That any dismissals including for conduct or capability or by reason of redundancy are carried out successfully
- That they can critically review or develop relevant policies and procedures
- That they understand the consequences of non-compliance with employment legislation

Course Outcomes
On completion of this programme, participants will;- Understand Employment Law including the Health and Safety Aspects
- Have the ability, where their organisation has HR and Safety Policies in place, to analyse them in order to ensure their organisation is compliant.
- Have the ability, where their organisation does not have HR and Safety Policies in place, to compile and implement same.
- Be more confident in handling queries form staff in the area of employment law.
- Understand the pitfalls of not complying with Employment Legislation.
- Understand the forms off redress in place where non-compliance if found.
