Workplace Investigations

From time to time situations arise which necessitates a company to conduct an investigation into a situation which involves members of staff. Such situations arise where there is potential misconduct.  This can arise due to allegations of pilfering, poor performance or a grievance raised by an employee to name but a few. HR Desk has vast experience in conducting Workplace Investigations.


Disciplinary and Grievance

When matters of Discipline or Grievance arise an employer needs to handle such situations very carefully and HR Desk can guide you through this process. Best practice and the necessary legal process will be followed in order to protect the employers and employees’ interest.

Investigations
 
A thorough investigation into any misconduct or a grievance allegation must be undertaken. The investigating officer can only be involved with any subsequent hearing if the Company is too small to have another manager hearing the appeal and the policy is written to reflect this. Capability
 
Some employees who underperform because they do not have the necessary skills to do their job and some are absent so often they can’t get through their fair share of the workload. Both scenarios are capability issues but the way they need to be handled are very different.
